“Devil’s Kiss” entered different international radio- and club-charts and was a perfect appetiser for the upcoming album. But there is much more to experience on “Teen Taken From Tent By Aliens”: “Big Big Big Big Love” combines noise-wall guitars with minimalist computer-sounds and groovy beats and everything is dominated from catchy vocals with a “bad guy”-attitude. Tracks like “Poisonous Snake”, “The No-No-Baby” or “Yellow Sweeties” reflect Nachzehrer’s work as soundtrack-composers and could also be taken from an alternative movie. “I Love Susan” and “Sitting Above” use stylistic elements from the best times of the 80′s and link directly to the minimalist and avant-garde roots of the band.

To say it in one sentence, Nachzehrer is like a mixture of Cinemascope- and Atari-Sounds that were not combined in that perfection before. It seems like they re-animated not only themselves but also the old machines and combined them with modern technology. Nachzehrer is electronic; It’s organic and even for an experienced producer hard to tell, who is who.

Some more words about the band’s history: At the end of the 80′s Nachzehrer released the “4-Track-Tape”, which was a bestseller in the tape-scene and was sold more than 2000 times. After that an album-production for the German major-label Metronome was made, Metronome was fascinated, Nachzehrer wasn’t. Nachzehrer stopped the release of this debut CD just before it’s shipment and the deal was cancelled. In the following years the band worked on experimental productions under different names, as well as on video performances and movie-soundtracks. Now they are back with their album “Teen Taken From Tent By Aliens” which beams the sound of the legendary “4-Track-Tape” into presence and far beyond.
